The annual Oak Cliff Mardi Gras Parade is coming up on Sunday, February 19th, with an estimated 10,000 people expected to descend on Davis St. in north Oak Cliff for the event and related festivities.

The parade starts at 2:00 p.m. at Nova Restaurant at Davis and Windomere and runs east to Encina Restaurant at Davis and Llewellyn Ave., and will feature floats, cars, bands, dance groups, and lots of colorful costumes. Parade participants If you plan to attend, parade organizers suggest you arrive early to find a good spot along the parade route.

Parking will be limited, so using public transportation or ride sharing is recommended. Parking is also available at these locations:

• Lot at the corner of Bishop Ave. and 9th St.
• Kidd Springs Recreation Center, 711 W Canty Street
• Methodist Dallas Medical Center (paid parking garage), near the corner of Beckley and Colorado
