First established as an amusement park in 1906, Lake Cliff Park once boasted waterslides, a skating rink, and theaters. It was later sold to the city of Dallas and in the years since has become a popular park, with its scenic views and prime location to downtown.

Many of the park’s original features have been restored, including a pergola and rose bush garden. The park also features walking trails, picnic areas, a playground, and sports fields.

The park hosts a number of community events, including Oak Cliff Earth Day every spring.

This postcard from 1906 shows how Lake Cliff Park looked at the time.
